Mrs. LaTona Dent was born on February 2, 1972, to Ralph Goddard, Sr. and Fannie Goddard.

LaTona graduated from Baldwin High School and earned her Cosmetology certificate from Central Georgia Technical College in Milledgeville, GA. She dedicated ten years of service to Central State Hospital (CNA) and served over fifteen years with Georgia College in food service.

A committed and loyal member of Parker Spring Baptist Church, Mrs. Dent contributed her talents to the Senior Choir. She was known for her kindness, gentle nature, and willingness to assist others in any way possible. Decorating and cooking for family and friends brought her great joy.

On Sunday, August 17, 2025, Mrs. LaTona Dent passed away, leaving behind a legacy of cherished memories. She is survived by her devoted husband, David Dent; son, Victor Tucker, Jr.; parents, Ralph Goddard, Sr. and Fannie Goddard; mother-in-law, Constancy Dent; brother, Ralph Goddard, Jr.; sister, Shanda Goddard; brothers-in-law, Eric Dent and Willie Dent; sisters-in-law, Lillian Dent and Charyl Dent, all from Delray Beach, FL; grandchildren, India Tucker and Ikeem Tucker; nephews, Anthony Goddard and Messiah Goddard; niece, Monique Goddard; aunts, Emma Wright, Annie Bell Goddard, Brenda Goddard, Nellie Goddard, and Mary Frances Palm; great aunt, Nellie Hill Beckham; uncle, Harvey Curry; god sisters, Theresa Curry, Julia Mae Goddard, Karen King (best friend), and Maria Jacobs; godsons, John Myrick, DeMario Young, Zhantavious Pearson, Lerico Palm; goddaughter, Jessica Vann; god grandchildren, Aahmad Young, De’Reyna Young, Eli Vann; along with many other relatives and friends.
