Mrs. Kimberly Mathis, of Milledgeville, Georgia passed away on Sunday, May 10, 2020 at Augusta University, Augusta, Georgia.
Graveside services were held on Monday, May 18, 2020 at 10:00 AM from Scenic Memorial Gardens, Milledgeville, Georgia.
Her Sunrise: On May 18, 1970, Mrs. Kimberly Renee Bell Mathis was born to the parentage of Mr. Willie Bell & Mrs. Alma Kelsey Bell, in Milledgeville, Georgia.
Who She Was: Kim, as she was most known for being called, was a native of Milledgeville, Georgia. She graduated, Baldwin High School, with the loud and proud class of 1989. From her high school graduation, Kim worked at Shaw, graduated with an associates degree in criminal justice, and most recently served Baldwin County, through her services as a clerk in a local convenience store.
What She Loved: Kim loved to be the life of the party. She has traveled to numerous countries, and had a deep love for experiencing new things in life. Deep passions of her's that caused her heart to sing were gardening, going to concerts, girls' night out with her cousins and aunties, and traveling to different fishing holes around Baldwin and Putnam Counties and fishing with her grandson.
Her Legacy: Forever cherished by her three children: Demarcus Davis, Yi'Sheika (Sheika) Bell Lawrence, and Yineiqkia (Nikki) Bell. She also was the step-mother to Roshad Mathis and Ericka Mathis, as well as, the beloved wife to Mr. Kenneth Mathis, of Milledgeville, Georgia. As a mother, she was a firm believer in cheering on her children, but as a grandmother to Mason Lawrence and Miles Lawrence, she was the best Gigi in the world. She is also survived by her siblings: Mr. Anthony Barnes, Ms. Tiffany Bell, Ms. Tasha Bell, & Mr. Cedric Bell. Her memory will forevermore be remembered as a grandmother, mother, a sister, an auntie, a cousin, a niece, a daughter, and a friend.
