Mr. Kevin Hill, of Milledgeville, Georgia entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, May 4, 2021 at his residence.
Graveside services were held on Saturday, May 8, 2021 at 2:00 PM from the Heritage Memorial Park, Milledgeville, Georgia.
Kevin LaVelle Hill hit a homerun into this world on September 1, 1967 in Augusta, Georgia. He was the second child born to the parentage of Jeanette Battle and Henry Hill, Jr.
He made his way to first base by attending the public schools of Hancock County and graduated from Hancock Central High in 1985. Kevin had a love for baseball leading him to play for Hancock Central. He played shortstop, but used good pitching to bring his team to win the State Championship in 1985. He was quoted: “I was just thinking about keeping the ball down”, said Hill of the seventh inning. “When I got the first two outs, I knew the last batter was mine.”
Kevin also loved playing tennis and on the court is where you would find him during his free time.
He rounded the field to second base and on July 30, 2004, he married Sandra Bolston; to this union a son was born. Kevin enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Kevin slid into third base with a smile that would melt your heart and a wonderful personality. He left his team precious memories that will forever be cherished by his loving and devoted wife, Sandra Bolston Hill of Milledgeville, GA; daughters: Sheanequae Hill of Gordon, GA, Caprina Watkins of Augusta, GA; son: Kevin Hill, Jr. of Milledgeville, GA, Aaron Gendraw of Stafford, VA and Darien Gendraw of Dunwoody, GA; mother: Jeanette Battle of Sparta, GA; father, Henry (Patricia) Hill, Jr. of Sparta, GA; siblings: Pamela Hill, Steven Franklin, both of Sparta, GA., Henry (Shalita) Hill III of Jacksonville, FL., Sabrina Pressley of Snellville, GA; three grandchildren: Tre’vion Watkins and Asia Watkins, both of Augusta, GA; Darien Gendraw, Jr. of Jonesboro, GA; mother-in-law, Laurie (Alvin) Fleming and father-in-law, Johnny Bolston, both of Milledgeville, GA; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
The Lord being Kevin’s umpire, spoke to him and said, “Well done, thou good and faithful servant; then called him home to rest on May 4, 2021.
