It is with sympathy, the management and staff of Slater's Funeral Home, Inc. announce the passing of Mr. Kendrick Sheats, Charlotte, North Carolina. Mr. Sheats passed away on Tuesday, March 14, 2023.
Funeral Services were held on Wednesday, March 22,2023 at 1:00PM from the Pine Ridge Baptist Church, Milledgeville, Georgia. Interment to follow from the Pine Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery, Milledgeville, Georgia.
Mr. Kendrick Lenard Sheats, the son of Mr. Kenneth B. Sheats & Ineal Sheats was born June 21, 1988 in Milledgeville, GA. As a child he grew up in Milledgeville, GA until the age of eight. He then moved to Columbia, SC before relocating to Charlotte, NC at age twelve with his family. He was a 2006 graduate of South Meck High School in Charlotte.
Shortly after his graduation from high school he attended Winston Salem State University where he received his Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Business Management. He was employed in the Banking Industry (Wells Fargo and Lending Tree). During his life, he enjoyed fishing, cooking, swimming, traveling, all sports, customizing his cars, and spending time with family and friends.
On March 14, 2023, Kendrick (Lenard) departed his earthly life. He had two siblings preceded him in death, one sister, Little Miss Keaundra "keke" Sheats and one brother and best friend, Devrick "Shamar" Sheats; paternal grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. John B. & Gladys R. Sheats; maternal grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Jimmie and Ethel Mae Hitchcock.
He leaves to cherish his memories: one daughter, Ms. Kenley Shamere Sheats of Warrenton, NC; his parents, Mr. Kenneth Sheats and Ineal Sheats of Charlotte, NC; one sister, Ms. Kymari Azelia Dixon of Charlotte, NC; the love of his life, Ms. Simone Gabrielle Turner of Warrenton, NC; his best friend and homie, Mr. Brandon Bailey of Jacksonville, FL; six auntees, Mildred Sheats of Clarkston, GA, Betty Sheats of Monroe, GA, Mrs. Beola (Jimmie) Matthews, Lottie Hitchcock, both of Milledgeville, GA and Ellen Hurt of Smyrna, GA; three uncles, Mr. Johnny C. Sheats of Monroe, GA, Mr. Wayne E. (Erin) Sheats of Stone Mountain, GA, and Mr. Francis (Patricia) Hitchcock of Madison, GA; his devoted and loving auntee, Ms. Shirley A. Smith of Decatur, GA; one loving great-aunt, Ms. Agnes R. Cooper of Dayton, Ohio; a host of cousins also survive him.
