It is with sympathy, the management and staff of Slater's Funeral Home, Inc. announce the passing of Mrs. Katie Marie Harper- Weaks, Milledgeville, Georgia. Ms. Harper passed away on Wednesday, August 16, 2023.
Memorial services were held on Tuesday, August 22, 2023, at 10:00 AM from the Griffin Memorial Chapel, Milledgeville, Georgia.
Marie Katie Harper Weaks, the daughter of the late Stembridge Harper Sr. and Roxie Harper was born April 20th, 1948. She departed this life August 16th, 2023.
She graduated from Boddie High School. After graduating she proceeded to work at Central state Hospital where she later retired. After retiring she followed her dreams to become a licensed cosmetologist.
She was preceded in death by her parents Stembridge Harper Sr, Roxie Harper and daughter Lisa Weaks
She leaves behind to cherish her memories a sister, Betty Jean Harper of Philadelphia, PA, two sons Maurice Weaks of Milledgeville GA and John Weaks Jr. (Bridget) of Atlanta GA, 3 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
