Katie Justice

Ms. Katie Justice, of Milledgeville, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, April 28, 2020 at Navicent Health, Macon, Georgia.

Graveside services were held on Tuesday, May 5, 2020 at 12:00 Noon from the Hickory Cemetery in the Beulah Community of Hancock County, Georgia.

Ms. Katie Justice was born to the late Mr. Willie Stone and the late Mrs. Roxie Roberson Thomas Stone. She married to the late Mr. Robert “Billy” Justice. She was born on September 6, 1945 in Hancock County, Georgia, where she also completed her high school education. She retired from Central State Hospital as a Health Service Lead Worker.

In her retirement, she loved attending her church, Second Beulah Baptist where she served on the Sunshine Ministry, Widows Ministry, and the Trustee Board. She also enjoyed serving others by way of cooking and feeding everyone who wanted to eat. She was just a lover of people. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

On Tuesday, April 28, 2020, our beloved mother transitioned from life to rest.

She passed a legacy of love to her beloved children: two sons, Mr. Reginald Justice and Mr. Raynard Justice of Sparta, GA; one daughter, Kerri Downing (Chuck) of Gray, GA; grandchildren: Tearra Brown, Deon Justice, Amelia Downing, Donta Justice, Kayla Justice, Kinady Downing; great grandchildren, Nyla Bundrage, Jordan Justice, Olivia Brown, Nysherria Braddy, TJ Braddy; brothers: Mr. Roger Thomas (Katherine) and Bennie Thomas of Sparta, GA; one sister, Mrs. Lillie Davis (Curtis); brothers-in-law: Mr. Edward Williams, Mr. George Justice and Mr. Lucious Justice of Sparta, GA; sisters-in-law: Ms. Ruby Warren and Ms. Simmie Justice of Milledgeville, GA, Ms. Gladys Purefory of Philadelphia; a host of nieces, nephews & cousins.  She will also be missed, but never forgotten by many special and devoted friends who were blessed to know her.
