It is with sympathy, the management and staff of Slater's Funeral Home, Inc. announce the passing of Mrs. Karen Ford, Milledgeville, Georgia. Mrs. Ford passed away on Sunday, January 1, 2023.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, January 7, 2022, at 11:00 AM from the Griffin Memorial Chapel, Milledgeville, Georgia. Interment to follow from the Gum Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, Milledgeville, Georgia.
Karen was born on May 28, 1961, to her father, Mr. George Glenn, Sr. and mother, Julia Glenn.
She was a member of the Peeler Chapel Baptist Church family. Karen was united in matrimony to Willie Ford.
She worked at Central State Hospital for eight years. She also was a care giver to many as well as serving at Baldwin County schools.
Karen loved her family so much. She enjoyed cooking, traveling and fun times. She also enjoyed babysitting her nieces, nephews, and especially her granddaughter.
Karen was preceded in death by her parents; and daughter, Cartresa Glenn.
Karen passed away on Sunday, January 1, 2023.
She leaves to cherish her memories: daughter, Ashley James; granddaughter, Garyelle Hill; three sisters, Gloria Lewis, Idell Glenn, and Bernice James (Matthew); two devoted friends, Ruby Ford and Devalyn Williams; a host of loving nieces, nephews, co-workers and friends.
