KEENUN DEARE’ HILL Obituary

Keenun Deare’ Hill made his transition to be with the Lord on May 14, 2026. Though his time with us was far too short, the impact he made on the lives of those who knew and loved him will last forever.

Keenun was born on November 13, 1976, in Waukegan, Illinois, at Victory Memorial Hospital. He spent much of his life in Kenosha, Wisconsin, where he built lasting friendships and created countless memories. He was a loving son,  devoted father, proud grandfather, caring brother, family man, and loyal friend whose presence could never be     forgotten.

He attended Woodland Middle School in Gurnee, Illinois, and Lucky Flower High School in Lake Bluff, Illinois. He later attended North Chicago High School, where he played shooting guard for the Warhawks and proudly represented his team with determination and heart. Keenun continued his education at Malcolm X College in Chicago. An entrepreneur with a driven spirit, he was always working toward his goals and creating opportunities for himself and those he loved.

Keenun was a man who truly enjoyed life and lived it on his own terms. He had a passion for fast cars and motorcycles, embracing the thrill and freedom they brought. He loved to travel, explore new places, and create unforgettable memories with family and friends. He never passed up a chance to enjoy a good meal, and gathering around the table with the people he loved was one of his greatest joys. He also had a deep love for sports. Basketball was more than just a game to Keenun he mastered it. Whether he was on the court showcasing his talent or sharing his love of the game with others, basketball was one of his greatest passions. He also loved watching football and cheering on his favorite teams. His competitive spirit, energy, and love for the game reflected the way he lived his life with heart,  determination, and joy.

He also took pride in his appearance and always kept up with the latest fashion trends. Keenun had a natural sense of style and carried himself with confidence wherever he went.

Above all else, Keenun was a true family man. His love and loyalty to his family never wavered. He had a special gift for bringing people together through laughter, conversation, and unconditional love. He made everyone around him feel welcomed, valued, and appreciated.

Keenun was also a true fighter. Throughout life’s challenges, he faced adversity with courage, determination, and an unbreakable spirit. No matter what obstacles stood in his way, he continued to push forward with strength and faith, inspiring those around him by the way he carried himself. His resilience was a reflection of the man he was a man who never gave up.

Keenun was preceded in death by his grandparents, Tommy Sr. and Justine Hill of Milledgeville, Georgia, and Josephine Louise Coleman Blanton and George Arentte Blanton of Chicago, Illinois.

He leaves to cherish his loving memory: his children, Paris Hill and Isaiah Hill; his beloved grandson, Jah’Mari D’air, affectionately known as “Boss Hog”; his loving parents, Bobby and Veronica Hill; his siblings, Berron Hill (Desi), Bridgett Q. Hill, and Brandon S. Hill; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever hold him close in their hearts.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Trina L. Blanton and Gerard Geray for their unwavering love, support, and generosity during this difficult time.

Though our hearts are broken, Keenun’s love, wisdom, laughter, and legacy will forever live on through those who loved him most. He will always be remembered for his fighting spirit, his sense of style, his love for family, and the way he made people feel seen, supported, and loved.

Gone from our sight, but never from our hearts, Keenun’s memory will continue to guide and inspire all who were blessed to know him.
