Julia Taylor Obituary

Mrs. Julia L. Taylor was born in Texas, to the First Lady Hattie Lee Swearengin Jones and Rev. Willie Jones. Every person that had the pleasure of meeting her loved her. She had that special type of effect on people. She was a giver at heart. She loved to sing gospel songs and hymns with her daughter Darlene Bown Moss and her dear cousin Missionary Sandra Faye Jackson. She loved the Lord and reading her bible. She retired from Central State hospital as a Health Service Technician with 27 faithful years of services. She inherited that nurturing and care giving spirit from her mother who was a RN. The first black RN that worked at Central State Hospital. In the early morning of June 10, 2025, our beloved passed and entered into rest. To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. She will live in our hearts forever, gone but not forgotten.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Taylor; sons, Randy Willie Brown and Eugene Brown Sr.

She leaves cherish memories to her daughters, Darlene Brown Moss of Milledgeville, Sabrina Taylor and Yvonne Brown, both of California; granddaughter, Lanecia Brown; grandson, Eugene Brown Jr.; great granddaughter, Milani Brown; god niece and nephew, Jane and Cordele Brantley; grandchildren, Whitney, Miyah, Patrick and Leara Brown, all of California; devoted cousins, Missionary Sandra Jackson, Elaine Walker, Max Jackson and Linda Gaye Sanford; and a host of cousins
