It is with sympathy, the management and staff of Slater's Funeral Home, Inc. announce the passing of Ms. Joyce Ann Dunn, Sandersville, Georgia. Ms. Dunn passed away on Saturday, April 30, 2022.
Graveside services were held on Saturday, May 7, 2022 at 11:00 AM from the Harrison Cemetery, Harrison, Georgia.
She was born on May 10, 1959 to the parentage of the late Mr. Andrew James Dunn and the late Mrs. Reddie Mae Dunn.
Ms. Dunn was with the Class of 1977. She later went to Job Corp. She joined Harrison Spring Baptist Church where she accepted Christ at an early age. She loved the Lord with all her heart. She talked about the Lord all the time.
Ms. Dunn worked many years at Crowntex Inc. in Wrightsville, Georgia, and then afterward several jobs as a caregiver. She was a caregiver for many people in her life. She loved to cook and being outside. She spent precious time with her brother and sisters. She was a loving and compassionate person. To know her is to love her. She cherished the time spent with her only granddaughter Nova Joy.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. Andrew James Dunn and Mrs.Reddie Mae Dunn; two brothers: Mr. Beverly Dunn and Mr. Edward Charles Dunn; one sister: Ms. Patricia Ann Dunn.
Left to cherish her memories: her daughter Shameika (Christopher) Cooper; son: Mr. Quintin Dunn; six siblings: Mr. Robert James Dunn, Mrs. Geraldine Ingram, Mrs. Pauline (Tommie) Hagans, Ms. Elizabeth Horton, Ms. Ruby Williams, Mrs. Gloria (Marshall) Haynes; one granddaughter: Nova Cooper; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
