Mrs. Johnnie Mae Sanford Turner, of Milledgeville, Georgia entered into eternal rest on Thursday, September 9, 2021 at Atrium Health Navicent Macon, Georgia.
Funeral services were held on Thursday, September 16, 2021 at 12:00 NOON from the Shiloh Baptist Church, Milledgeville, Georgia.
On Thursday, September the 9th, 2021 God saw the road getting getting rough and called his beloved, Mrs. Johnnie Johnnie Mae Turner home. Johnnie Mae was born in Milledgeville, Georgia on June 26, 1964, to the late Mr. John Thomas Sanford and the late Mrs. Magelean Walls Sanford. At an early age, she joined Jones Chapel AME Church. She was a High School graduate of the class of 1982. She was employed by Rheem Manufacturing for 17 years. In 2003 she was joined in holy matrimony to Mr. Ronnie Turner. She enjoyed shopping, eating out, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. You could always count on seeing her out in the stores laughing and talking.
She was preceded in death by her father John; her mother Magelean; four siblings, Gregory, Ralph, and Roger Sanford and Lillie Carroll. She leaves to cherish her memory, her loving husband, Mr. Ronnie Turner; two children, Mr. Farando Farando (Leah) Speights, Sr. of Milledgeville and Ms. KeAmbra (Jadarius, Sr.) Turner of Conyers, GA; two stepchildren: Sharonette (Ellis) Spikes of Macon, GA, and Tyrus Turner of Atlanta, GA; three sisters, Barbara (Gerald) Jackson, Evelyn (Kenneth) Haynes, and Bessie Lewis, all of Milledgeville, GA; one brother, Mr. Robert Gilbert of Savannah, GA; father-in-law, Mr. Willie Turner, Sr. of Macon, GA; five sisters-in-law, Mrs. JoAnne Sanford, Carol (Ezekiel) Davis, Viola Griswold, Judie Billings, and Audrey Turner; two aunts, Ms. Maude Ingram of Deveraux, GA, Mrs. Rosa Mae Franklin of Atlanta, GA; seven grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, several other relatives and friends.
Due to the current pandemic, the family ask for privacy and no visitors!!!
