John Willie Allen was born in Patterson, New Jersey on June 21, 1947, to the parentage of the late Mr. Andrew and Fannie Mae Allen.
Shortly after birth, the family moved back to Milledgeville, where he was raised with five other siblings. He was preceded in death by three siblings: JayCee Allen, Andrew Allen, Jr., and Tommy Lee Allen.
John joined in a union with Ms. Juanita Walker. This union continued for many happy years.
John acquired many nicknames from his family and friends and one favorite was “Hot Shot”. He attended Boddie High School. He spent most of his life in Milledgeville and later moved to Atlanta, GA, where he resided for the remainder of his life.
He joined and was a member of Mitchel Zion Baptist Church during the early part of life. He and his siblings had a family spiritual group called the Piney Grove Junior Spiritual Singers. John Willie was a very kindhearted, sweet-spirited person. He always had some kind of joke for you.
He worked for the Ford Company in Atlanta, GA for many years. Later over the years, John Willie's health started to fail, which caused him to become an amputee. At that time, he moved in with his sister, Mamie, until his sunset. He will truly be missed by his family and friends. He was such a happy and fun-filled person who never complained about anything.
