John A. Thomas Obituary

On January 6, 2026, God in His infinite wisdom and divine mercy, called our beloved brother from labor to reward.
Today we paused to celebrate the life of John Arthur Thomas who was born on November 9, 1943, to the late James and Odessa Mosley Thomas in Wilkinson County. He graduated from J.F. Boddie High School in 1964. He was a drum major while attending. Upon graduating, he worked for the box factory for 2 years then relocated to Detroit, Michigan in 1966. He worked for Chrysler Motors until his retirement.
 


Many will forever treasure the memories and time spent with him. He is survived by one brother Bishop James Thomas JR (Everlean) of Milledgeville, GA and one sister Francina Williams (Anaysirren) of Kansas City, Kansas. Three nephews, three nieces, one Uncle Deacon John Williams (Laverne) Irwinton, GA. His godson/caregiver Leon Duanne Walker. A host of great nephews, great nieces, relatives, and friends.
