John Lewis Shropshire was born on April 5, 1944, to Felton and Liddie Shropshire in Baldwin County, Georgia.
He attended the Baldwin County School System. John loved his family; he didn't play about his friends. He was a master griller and loved to cook and eat. He didn't mind feeding people as well.
John was a retired certified butcher of thirty years at Central State Hospital. After he retired from the CSH, he worked as a butcher at Golden Corral for several years.
John was preceded in death by his parents, Felton and Liddie Shropshire; wife, Kelly M. Shropshire; sisters and brothers, Creese, Ethel Mae, Julia Mae, Marie, Vinny, Willie Bell, George, Jefferson, Ananise, Jo, and Emmit.
John Lewis Shropshire passed away on Wednesday, May 14, 2025.
John leaves cherishing memories to his children, Carolyn Shropshire, Sherry Shropshire, Willie Bell (Keith) Glenn, Julia Mae Shropshire, Jefferson Shropshire, Jerry Shropshire (Mariah), Betty Lou Shropshire, John L. Simmons, Shelley Parham; devoted grandsons, Tarain Shropshire (Duke), Charles Shropshire; fifteen grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; devoted nephew, Marion Crowder; a host of other nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives and friends, including devoted friends, Anthony Sams and Horace Ingram.
