JOE Lee Cain was born on September 19, 1937, in Greenville, Florida, to Joseph Cain and Rosa Lee Cain. He was the oldest of 4 siblings.
He attended Crooms High School in Sanford, where he graduated from the top of his class. He loved sports. Football was his favorite sport. After graduating from high school, he always had a passion for coaching and teaching. So therefore, he continued his education by attending Albany State College, where he continued to play football. His jersey #62 was retired at Albany State. After moving to Milledgeville, he was employed with Central State Hospital as an HST and later retired. After he retired from CSH, he was employed by the Baldwin County Board of Education as an educator. He met so many people.
He was well respected in the community and was significant in so many people's lives. Everyone knew MR. CAIN!!! He was the jack of ALL TRADES. He had a personality that would draw young and older people to him. He was very knowledgeable about any given subject. Joe loved to read, fish and cook. When he cooked, he wanted to feed the entire neighborhood. He was a mover and a shaker in the community.
Joe Lee Cain was preceded in death by parents, Joseph Cain and Rosa Lee Cain; wife, Lou Ellen Cain; sister, Mary Cain and brother, Calvin Cain.
He is survived by daughter, Natacha Ansley (Raiford); sons, Joe Keith Cain, Rico Cain; sister, Alfreda Williams; grandson, Paul N. Chapple; brothers, Clarence Cain, Albert Lee Cain (Aleshia), and Albert Brinson; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
