Mr. Jerry W. Hill, Sr., of Gordon, Georgia entered into eternal rest on Sunday, August 8, 2021 at Navicent Health, Macon, Georgia.
Graveside services were held on Thursday, August 12, 2021 at 10:00 AM from the Mt. Hope CME Church Cemetery, Milledgeville, Georgia.
In the late quiet of this sacred hour, the hearts of devoted ones pay their tribute of love and remembrance to one who departed from our midst. He will live forever in those generous deeds, love, and service which will be a constant inspiration and blessed memory. Thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Jerry Wordie Hill, Sr. was born January 27, 1953, in Detroit, Michigan to the late Wordie Hill and Hattie Sloan. He was affectionately reared by his Great Uncle and Aunt, Robert and Charity Milner. Siblings also preceding him in death include Alberta, Georgia, Henry, Hattie, Bradford, Francine, Jackie, Gwendolyn, Fred, and Kelvin. He leaves to cherish his memories: his loving wife, Lillian Hill; son, Jerry Wordie Hill, Jr.; daughter, Adrienne Hill; sisters, Martha Elliott and Carolyn Sloan; sisters-in-law, Mary (Eugene) Lundy and Fannie James; brother-in-law, Emanuel (Michanda)) Bryson; also surviving are a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Jerry was a fun, loving, and caring person, always ready to help family, neighbors, friends and anyone that needed help. He worked in the construction industry and was a professional painter by trade
