It is with sympathy, the management and staff of Slater's Funeral Home, Inc. announce the passing of Mr. James L. White, Milledgeville, Georgia. Mr. White passed away on Friday, November 4, 2022.
Funeral services were held on Friday, November 11, 2022, at 1:00 PM from the Chapel of All Faiths, Milledgeville, Georgia. Interment to follow from the Scenic Memorial Gardens, Milledgeville, Georgia.

On Friday, November 4, 2022, James Lee White Sr. entered into eternal rest. James Lee White Sr. was born on March 12, 1954, in Washington County, Georgia, to the parentage of the late Mr. David Hunt, Sr., and the late Mary Julia White Smith. He was preceded in death by his son James Lee (Buddy) White, Jr., and two brothers, Jimmie L. Smith Jr. and Robert E. Smith Sr. James attended the public schools in Washington County, graduating from Washington County High School Class of 1974. At an early age, he was baptized and accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior.
He was employed by the Department of Correction in Hancock County, Georgia, for several years. He later transferred his job to Central State Hospital with the Police Department. He worked as a Police Officer at Central State Hospital until his retirement. He was a dedicated and faithful employee. He had a passion for riding his motorcycle. He also loved working outside especially working on vehicles. He loves watching wrestling and action movies.
Mr. James Lee White, Sr. memories will forever be cherished by his devoted and loving wife, Wanda Speights White of Milledgeville, GA; one daughter Karen (Pastor Bryant) Aaron of Macon, GA; two sons, Malcolm (Kadedra) White of Louisville, GA, Rodney (Jacquelyn) Speights of Milledgeville, GA; one sister, Ms. Yolanda Smith Womble of Atlanta, GA; one stepbrother, Mr. David (Tiffany) Hunt, Jr. of Seattle, WA; mother-in-law, Emma Magnolia Speights of Milledgeville, GA; grandchildren, LaKia Washington of Macon GA, LaKylen (William) White-Davis of Atlanta GA, Eboni Jordan of Macon GA, Kamille Melody White of Louisville, GA, Aydan Speights of Milledgeville, GA, Ava Speights of Milledgeville, GA, Lakendria Aaron of Atlanta, GA; great grandchildren, Khalil Harris, Jr. of Macon, GA, Kolbe Barron of Macon, GA; sisters-in law, Vivian B. Smith of Atlanta, GA, Tara (David) Speights-King of Milledgeville, GA; brother-in- law, Louis LaTroy (Ashley) Speights; aunt, Mrs. Betty Jean Hunt Maze of Sandersville, GA; uncle, Mr. L.C. Hunt, Sr. of Sandersville, GA; a host of other relatives and friends.
