It is with sympathy, the management and staff of Slater's Funeral Home, Inc. announce the passing of Mr. James Reaves, Milledgeville, Georgia. Mr. Reaves passed away on Monday, March 27, 2023.

Memorial services were held on Friday, March 31, 2023 at 10:00AM from the Griffin Memorial Chapel of Slater's Funeral Home, Inc., Milledgeville, Georgia. Interment to follow from the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Milledgeville, Georgia. 

Our beloved “James” entered eternal rest Monday, March 27, 2023. His passing occurred in the Piedmont Hospital, Macon, Georgia.

He was born to the parentage of the late Christine Phelps Reaves and the late Saint E. Reaves.

He attended school in Baldwin County. He served in the Army and later went on to work at YDC for many years.

James was a peaceful, quiet and giving person. His siblings will long for their best friend.

He is survived by his loving sister, Mrs. Theresa Arnold; three loving brothers, Mr. Horace Reaves, Mr. MacArthur Reeves (Maggie), and Mr. Calvin Phelps, all of Milledgeville, GA; two loving nieces, Ms. Crystal Reeves of Milledgeville, GA, Ms. Robin C. White of Alpharetta, GA; one loving nephew, Mr. Ricky Moore of Milledgeville, GA; four great nieces, Kirsten Reeves, MacKenzie Reeves, both of Milledgeville, GA, Zoe White of Alpharetta, GA, Ashley Moore of Las Vegas; one great nephew, Nigel White of Milwaukee, WI; three aunts, Geloria Phelps, Mary Ann Reaves and Regina Phelps, all of Milledgeville, GA. He is also survived by a host of cousins and friends.
