Mr. James Louis "Red" Nelson Jr., entered eternal rest on Saturday, January 2, 2021.

Funeral services will be held privately with family.

James Louis Nelson, Jr., lovingly known as "Red", was born to the late Mr. James Louis Nelson, Sr. and Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Bolston Nelson on the 4th day of October, 1948 in Milledgeville, Georgia. The first of six children, Red was preceded in death by one brother, Anthony Antonio Nelson, two sisters, Constance Maria Nelson, and Gwendolyn Atlean Primas.

After 72 years, he passed on the 2nd day of January, 2021. Red leaves to cherish his memories his high school sweetheart, lifetime partner, and forever friend, Jacquelynn Waller Nelson; two children: James Matthew Nelson and Dr. Joycelynn Denise Nelson; two sisters: Angela Elizabeth Hall and Denice Nelson; special niece/baby sister, Pamela Denice Trawick, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, one God daughter, one God grandchild, and friends
