Mr. J.C. Choice was born November 14, 1949 in Sparta, Georgia, Hancock County. His parents were the late Mr. Johnny Lee Choice Sr. and Juanita Harper Choice. Mr. Choice attended public school in Hancock County along with his seven siblings.  

At an early age J.C. joined St. Luke Baptist Church. He loved fishing and hunting. He had great ambitions for the workforce, while working at Central State Hospital he started the  Neighborhood Youth Corp program. After starting this program many others followed, including the Transportation Unit from which he retired from.

On Saturday, January 31, 2026 the Lord called him home. He leaves to cherish his memories his son Rico Choice, his sisters Izora McDowell, Patricia Walker, Mary Scott (James), and Janice Warren (James); his brothers Ocie Lee Choice (Gail), Walter Choice; one brother preceded him in death Johnny Lee Choice Jr; (3) Aunts Catherine Harper, Catherine Goodman, and Alice Simmons (Flemister) a host of nieces and nephews. God brother Lavirture Russell (Sugar Man).
