It is with sympathy, the management and staff of Slater's Funeral Home, Inc. announce the passing of Mr. Horace Jenkins III, Milledgeville, Georgia. Mr. Jenkins passed away on Tuesday, April 19, 2022.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, April 23, 2022 at 11:00 AM from the El Bethel Baptist Church with interment followed at the Scenic Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Milledgeville, Georgia.

Horace Jenkins III, was born the third of four children, of the late Mr. Horace Jenkins Jr. and the late Mrs. Eurie Griffin Jenkins on October 16, 1950. He is proceeded in death by his son Ricky and brother Jerome Jenkins. Horace first met the love of his life Dorothy back in 1979. They later were married and had two kids together. Horace will always be remembered from the time he spent working at Baldwin High School vocational part for over 25 years. Horace, who was also known as" Boss Man" by many and enjoyed the company of his family and friends. He enjoyed fishing, listening to his old country music, watching his favorite TV shows, laughing and telling jokes. You would often find him drinking a cold one, sitting in his favorite spot talking. And loved telling old stories then turn around questioning you about what he said. Making sure that "YOU GOT'CHA EARS OPENED?". On Tuesday morning, April 19th, 2022, our dear husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend entered eternal rest.

Cherished memories and legacy of love cling to the hearts of his beloved wife Mrs. Dorothy Jenkins of Milledgeville Georgia , daughter Mrs. Nakeisha Jordan (Preston) of Milledgeville Georgia, son Mr. Bradley Jenkins (Magerrika) of Milledgeville Georgia, grandkids Jordyn and Skylar Jenkins, Tyrese O'Neal, sisters of Milledgeville Georgia, Ms. Barbara Jenkins and Mrs. Deborah Milner (Leonard, Sr.), cousin Ms. Doris Easley of Milledgeville Georgia and a host of devoted family and friends.
