Henry Eugene Clark

It is with sympathy, the management and staff of Slater's Funeral Home, Inc. announce the passing of Mr. Henry Eugene Clark, Milledgeville, Georgia. Mr. Clark passed away on Wednesday, April 20, 2022.

 Funeral services were held on Tuesday, April 26, 2022, at 1:00PM from the Griffin Memorial Chapel with interment followed from the Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery, Milledgeville, Georgia.

Henry Eugene Clark was born July 09, 1951, to Celia Mae Brown in Kathleen, GA Henry Clark was married to Effie Mae Jackson from 06/04/1971 – 06/21/1993 and was blessed with two children. He later married Melinda Fay Stubbs from 12/03/1999 until his time of death. Henry departed this life on April 20, 2022. He was preceded in death by his mother, Celia Mae Brown, Sister Geraldine Childs, and Brothers Frank Haslem, James Haslem, Willie Clark, and Larry Haslem. He attended the public schools of Houston County and graduated from Houston County High School in 1969.  After completing high school, he became a soldier of the United States Army and served his country with great pride. Through the years he worked at several different manufacturing companies and retired from Mohawk Industries in Milledgeville, GA. And when he wasn’t working, or with his family, one of his favorite pastimes was riding his motorcycle. He will be truly missed.

He leaves to cherish his memory: his wife, Melinda Fay Clark; son, Anthony (Eula) Clark of Columbia, SC; daughter, Tishua (Willie) Green of Perry, GA; five grandchildren, Jasmine Johnson of Augusta, GA, Antoinette Clark of Greensboro, NC, Christian Clark, Ashley Clark, and Christina Clark, all of Columbia SC; one great granddaughter, Asherah Johnson of Augusta, GA; step-sons, William McDowell III and Laterz McDowell, both of Milledgeville, GA; step-daughter, Shaquonna Stubbs of Milledgeville, GA; two step-grandsons, Dior McKeithian and Grayson Allen of Milledgeville, GA; siblings, two sisters, Laverne Roquemore of Centerville; GA, and Shirley (Joseph) George of Warner Robins, GA; four brothers, William Ivory of Watkinsville, GA, Wiley Clark and Ricky Johnson, both of Milledgeville, GA, Harold (Jeanette) Haslem of Stone Mountain, GA; mother-in-law, Ruby Stubbs of Milledgeville, GA; sister-in-law, Cassandra (Marcus) Thomas of Milledgeville, GA; brothers-in-law, Alton Stubbs and Dereck (Isheka) Stubbs, all of Milledgeville, GA; and a devoted friend, Mr. Jessie Grava. And a special acknowledgement to a very devoted brother, Wiley Clark.
