Mr. Gregory Milner Sr. was born January 12, 1965, in Milledgeville, GA to the late Mr. Grady Milner Sr. and Ms. Emma Willie Simmons.
He was affectionately known as “Ba Ba” by family and friends. He was a hard worker and dedicated father. He started his first construction career with Garbutt Construction Company then he began working at J.P. Stevens, Dairy Queen, and was a former employee at Central State Hospital as a carpenter where he retired with 27 ½ years of service. He was a class member of 1983 of Baldwin High. His favorite hobbies when he was younger were playing sports, working out, fishing, riding motorcycles and four wheelers, and listening to music. He also enjoyed playing checkers with his coworkers during his lunch break at Central State. Additionally, he enjoyed reading the scriptures from the bible and he loved telling stories and making people laugh. He was a very sociable person who loved to talk!
His demise came quickly and unexpectedly on Monday July 15, 2024. We will forever love him and miss him.
Survivors include one daughter, Jacqueline Milner of Milledgeville, GA; two sons, Gregory Milner, Jr. of Milledgeville, GA and Marquis Milner of Atlanta, GA; one sister, Lena Milner; two brothers, Grady Milner, Jr. (Pamela), and Willie Lewis Milner, Sr. (Tonia), all of Milledgeville, GA; aunties, Joanne Sandford of Gray, GA and Willie Mae Tuft of Milledgeville, GA; uncles, Willie Speights, Jr. (Dorothy) of Haddock, GA and James E. Simmons of Macon, GA; grandchildren, Jacques Caine, Nayanna Milner, Kierstein Stanley, Kayla Farley, Gregory Milner lll; one great grandchild, Amoura Caine; nephews, Jerry Adams, Jr., Antonio Adams of Atlanta, Willie Milner, Jr., Rodriquez Stephens; nieces, Desserae Milner, Sierra Milner, Shanequa Milner, Shaquliea Milner, Kenya Milner, Kewanna Stephens; a host of great nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services were held on Sunday, July 21, 2024, at 2:00 PM from the County Line Baptist Church, Haddock, Georgia. Interment followed from the Sons of Wisdom Daughters of Light Society Cemetery, Haddock, Georgia.
