It is with sympathy, the management and staff of Slater's Funeral Home, Inc. announce the passing of Ms. Gloria Foster, Milledgeville, Georgia. Ms. Foster passed away on Saturday, July 8, 2023.
Memorial services were held on Tuesday, July 11, 2023 at 4:00 PM from Griffin Memorial Chapel, Milledgeville, Georgia.
Ms. Gloria Jean Foster was born January 2, 1971 to the late Mr. Otis Simpson and the late Mrs. Mable Foster in Milledgeville, Baldwin County, Georgia.
Ms. Foster attended and graduated from the Baldwin County School System.
Her family was fortunate to have her in their lives as a loving sister and friend. "SugarJean" as she was affectionately called, had a reserved personality, but willing to share her opinion with anyone who she needed to express it with.
Ms. Foster expressed her love for family by assisting her brother from time to time at his family business Foster's Meat Market. She enjoyed traveling with family and crocheting to make her home life its best.
She was proceeded in death by her parents, sister, Ms. Bernice Foster; brother, Mr. Randy Foster; nephew, Mr. Brandon Foster.
She leaves to cherish her memories her brothers: Mr. Donald (Carol Shay Brown) Foster, Mr. Michael Foster; sisters: Ms. Debra Simpson, Mrs. Mary Foster Barnes; one aunt, Mrs. Sharon Ingram; six nephews: Mr. Ozie James, Mr. Robert Barnes, Mr. John Travus Foster, Jamario Foster, Mr. Mikel Foster, Mr. Roderick Foster; four nieces: Ms. Nekeisha James, Ms. Kiamber Foster, Ms. Chelsea Foster, Ms. Ayanna Foster; several other relatives and friends.
