Gladys Marie Stubbs Grady was born on October 3, 1930 to the union of Charles and Ethel Trawick, both who preceded her in death. She had one brother, Henry Clay Stubbs, who also preceded her in death. She graduated from Boddie High School in Milledgeville, Georgia.
Gladys moved to Chicago, Illinois where she met the love of her life, Clement Grady, Sr. They enjoyed 46 years of marriage. They moved back to Georgia from Chicago in 1973. They had one son, Clement Grady, Jr. in October of that year.
Gladys worked for the Telephone Company in Chicago and when she moved back to Georgia, she worked at Central State Hospital for 30 years and later she worked another 16 years as a Blue Apron Grandparent at Central State Hospital.
Gladys in her spare time enjoyed working with flowers, cutting grass, trimming hedges, or just being in the yard. She was a faithful member of Oak Grove Baptist Church #1. She also enjoyed talking on the phone with her friends and family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clement Grady, Sr.
Gladys leaves to cherish her memory, her one son Clement Grady, Jr., wife Tanya Grady, one granddaughter, Raven Stephens (Albany, GA), Nieces Barbara Stubbs, Jacqueline Stubbs-Cotton. Nephews Henry D. Stubbs, Michael A. Stubbs (Cobb County) Cousins Patricia Hicks, Lisette Hicks, Doris Vallier (Chicago) as well as a host of other family and friends.
