Ms. Geraldine Myrick, of 113 Lockwood Street, Milledgeville, Georgia passed away on Saturday, December 14, 2019 at her residence.
Funeral services were held on Friday, December 20, 2019 at 1:00 PM from the Griffin Memorial Chapel of Slater's Funeral Home. Interment followed in the Sons of Wisdom and Daughters of Light Society Cemetery at County Line Baptist Church. Rev. Gregory Ellison will officiate.
On Saturday, December 14, 2019, God called our beloved Ms. Geraldine Myrick. She gained her heavenly wings for her work here is done.
Our beloved Geraldine Myrick was born on July 11, 1951 in Milledgeville, GA. Her parents were the late Christine Brooks and the late Jerry Phelps, Sr.
Geraldine attended the public schools of the Baldwin County community. She later pursued employment at Georgia College of Milledgeville, GA. She later pursued an employment of Housekeeping and Dietician throughout her younger years.
Geraldine was a very caring, outspoken, and humble person. She was friendly, loving and very helpful to anyone that was in her presence. She mostly enjoyed spending time with her family and close friends.
Besides her parents, Ms. Myrick was predeceased by her late husband, Mr. Ambrose Myrick; sister, The late Gladys Brooks, and her brothers: Mr. Willie Lee Brooks and Mr. Cleveland Brooks, and also step father throughout her child life, Mr. Ben Myrick.
Chrished memories shall always abide in the hearts of her beloved family, Ms. Geraldine is survived by her brother, Mr. Jerry Phelps of Detroit; step sister, Erma Jean Myrick; daughters, Ms. Matilda Myrick-Lamar (Gabriel), Wanda Myrick (Keshala), Lisa Myrick (Trina), all of Milledgeville, GA; son, Anthony Mitchell (Wendy) of Gray, GA; She is also survived by her step-daughter, Sandra Ladson of Milledgeville, GA; a devoted nephew, Randy Brooks (Latisha) of Milledgeville, GA; a devoted cousin, Ernestine Francis of Milledgeville, GA. She also had three devoted close friends, Joanne Dennis and Melvin Moody of Milledgeville, GA, and Curtis Hunt of Milledgeville, GA. Ms. Myrick is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 38 great grandchildren, a host of great nieces and nephews.
