George Grable

Mr. George Grable, of 1112 Highland Avenue, Milledgeville, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, August 27, 2019 at his residence.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, September 3, 2019 at 11:00 AM from the Griffin Memorial Chapel of Slater's Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Powell Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Sparta, Georgia.

Mr. George Grable 69, transitioned from this world on August 27 , 2019 at his home in Milledgeville Ga. He was surrounded by his family.

He was born on July 10 , 1950 in Sparta GA to the parentage of Eugene and Christine Grable who preceded his death. Mr. Grable was also preceded in death by his four brothers, Willie Grable, Walton Grable, Earl Grable, and Lester Grable, and two sisters, Lucille Lamar and Catherine Grable and a favorite nephew, Robert Grable.

Mr. Grable was a hard worker. During his earlier years he worked in the pulp wooding/ logging industry. He eventually changed careers and later retired from the Baldwin County Road Department with 28 years of service.  Everyone who knew him knew that his main passion was any type of Ford vehicle. He was loyal to the brand just as he was to his family and friends whom he spent most of his spare time with.

Mr. Grable is survived by his sister, Martha Ann Grable of Atlanta GA, a life partner of over ten years, Colette Ross, her two daughters, whom he loved and reared as his own, Rickia Taylor and Dimitria Ross, a devoted caregiver, Gartrell Lee and a host of nieces and nephews and family and friends.

The family is receiving friends at the residence and at 2416 Grandview Court NE Apt A, Milledgeville, Georgia.
