Our beloved woman of God—mother, sister, and friend—entered eternal rest on September 25, 2024.

Estella leaves to cherish her memory, her beloved daughter and granddaughter, Mrs. Shenerika McCormick Morris, and Ms. Ashley Edwards of Milledgeville, Georgia. Three sisters, Ms. Dora Finney, Mrs. Sherry (Bobby) Richardson, and Mrs. Esther Mae (Charles) Bowen. She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members, as well as her loving furry grandpup, Khloe.

Estella was born on November 30, 1952, in Baldwin County to the parents of Mr. Cowen Finney and Mrs. Esther Mae Davis Finney, who both preceded her in death. Three sisters, Mrs. Ollie Austin, Mrs. Josephine (Robert) Jeffries, and Mrs. Ruby Henderson, also preceded her in death.

Estella was a graduate of the Baldwin High School class of 1971. She worked diligently in service for others and was a retiree of Central State Hospital of Georgia.

Estella was known in her community and reflected the importance of a virtuous woman, giving of herself, even if it was not convenient. She loved reading and caring for her plants. She loved the Lord and reflected this love to all those around her. Estella was a sociable woman, often giving advice with God's provision and love, worshipping Him daily through her words and actions with others.
