It is with sympathy, the management and staff of Slater's Funeral Home, Inc. announce the passing of Mr. Erogers Stinson, Kingstowne, Virginia.
Juris Doctor Erogers James Stinson, 77, of Kingstowne, Virginia (originally from Milledgeville, Georgia) peacefully transitioned from us on Saturday, September 30, 2023 and now lives triumphantly with our Lord of hosts in heaven. He waged an impressive fight against Acute Myeloid Leukemia for two years. God blessed him to be in remission one of those years.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Mrs. Jackie Young Stinson; goddaughter Nia Robinson; siblings Mrs. Izola Hogan, R.N., Mrs. Melvia (Samuel) Johnson, Rev. Myrtice (Pastor Dr. Charlesfontaine) Macon, M.D., Ms. Musyce Stinson; one sister-in-love Mrs. Cynthia (Barry) Young-Smith and one brother- in-love Mr. Robert Cooper. His nieces and nephews were near and dear to his heart. Pamela (Perry) Robertson, Gregory (Jacqui) Hogan, Jeffrey (Natasha) Hogan, Esquire, Robert Dal (Temeka) Cooper, DuDwayne (Yolanda) Cooper, Corwin (fiance’ Tami) Cooper, Eric (Kristal) Johnson, Monique Johnson, Joylealia Wartian, Ingrid Macon, Ph.D., Candice (Jamie) Williams, Esquire, Troyfontaine (fiance’ Shanaya) Macon, Rev. Bryant (Melinda) Stinson. Erogers was young at heart to respond to the texted pictures and FaceBook posts of his great nieces and nephews Adonica, Bryanna, Celine, Savannah, Chloe, Lauren, Courtney, Esquire, DeAnthony, Samuel, Treylon, Brandon, Samantha, Desiray, Nathanael, Izabella, Tre' and his boy Ronin. He also pampered Fred, the chihuahua, house dog of the family. He leaves many cousins, very good friends and classmates.
A public viewing at Slater’s Funeral Home was held in his honor on Friday, October 13, 2023 from 4 - 6 PM. A private graveside service for immediate family only was held on October 14, 2023.
