Emma Wright

Emma Lee Wright, 84 of in Wilkinson County, GA passed away on Thursday, November 6, 2025, in Milledgeville, GA

She was born January 1, 1941, in Wilkinson County, GA where she lived with her late parents Bessie Mae Palm and Charlie Palm, along with 12 siblings.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her son Rufus Wright and her niece LaToya Dent.

Emma had a personality that would light up a room. She would make you laugh, and her sweet humble nature would shine throughout. Emma was known as a person who was a very straightforward no nonsense person.

Emma worked for over 30 years at Central State Hospital Laundry Department.

Emma is survived by three sons Jimmy Wright, Dennis Benford and Frank Wright. Two sisters Fannie Goddard (Shunda Goddard), and Bell Goddard (Julia, Robert, Timothy, Derek Goddard). Her only granddaughter Danshell Michelle Shinholster and a host of nieces and nephews.
