Elizabeth Mae Brown

Mrs. Elizabeth Mae Brown, of Milledgeville, Georgia entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at her residence.

Graveside services were held on Sunday, March 21, 2021 at 3:00 PM from the Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Elizabeth Brown, (Lizzie) was born on February 24, 1928, to the late Mr. Tom Lee Wilson and late Mrs. Ruthie Mae Wilson in Wilkinson County, Ga.  She was the second of five siblings.

Lizzie joined Oak Grove Baptist Church #1 at an early age.  She was a faithful member until her health declined.  She also worked numerous years as a custodial.

Lizzie attended the public school of Wilkinson County, GA.  She enjoyed spending time with family, friends, cooking her famous Carmel Cakes, and gardening.

Lizzie was preceded in death by her husband Mr. James Otis Brown, brothers Tommie Lee Wilson, Charlie Wilson, Robert Wilson, sister in laws, Louise Wilson, and Alice Mae Wilson.

Lizzie leaves to cherish her memories one son: James Otis Brown, (Boy Red) of Milledgeville, GA and one daughter Mrs. Gloria Jean Robinson of Lake City, South Carolina, devoted sister and devoted brother in law, Lorena P. Johnson, (Willie) of Milledgeville, GA, one sister in law Mrs. Emma Wilson of Milledgeville, GA, 3 grandchildren,(Bennie Milline and  Lizzie Mae Porter of Milledgeville, GA, and Frederick Pounds, (Vivian) of Lake City, South Carolina), 9 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren all of Milledgeville, GA, a hosts of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
