It is with sympathy, the management and staff of Slater’s Funeral Home, Inc. announce the passing of Mrs. Ebonee Weaks- Scott, of Milledgeville, GA. Mrs. Weaks- Scott passed away on Saturday, April 2, 2022.
Celebration of Life services were held on Friday, April 8, 2022 at 1:00PM from the Chapel of All Faiths, Milledgeville, Georgia.
“We are confident, I say, and would prefer to be away from the body and at home with the Lord” 2 Corinthians 5:8 At this time, it is with sorrow and joy that we are here to remember the life and to celebrate the homegoing of our beloved, Ebonee Monique Weaks-Scott. Saturday, April 2, 2022, Ebonee departed from her earthly life after fulfilling her earthly commission. Ebonee was loved by many. Ebonee was born March 25, 1984, in Milledgeville, GA to the late John Weaks, Sr. and Joanne Weaks-Hartry. She was educated in the schools of Baldwin County. She also attended Albany State University. She was employed by Central State Hospital here in Milledgeville, GA. She joined Oak Grove Baptist Church at an early age. Ebonee leaves to cherish her memories: her husband, Emilio Scott; her loving daughters, Ashiyah and Makayla Scott; her mother, Mrs. Joanne Weaks Hartry; her siblings, Stephanie Warren, Anthony Weaks, Ursula Weaks, Johnette Weaks-Preston (Robert), John Weaks Jr., Dewayne Weaks; preceded in death by her sister, Lisa Weaks; aunts and uncles, Patricia Glenn (Jeffrey), Donna Barnes, Oudia Bridges, Edward Bridges (Sherry); a host of nieces and nephews; devoted cousins and friends, Monteshia Barnes, Fiona Tucker, and Erica Charleston. Ebonee was also a Godmother to her loving Godchildren.
