Dorothy White Obituary

Dorothy Lee Anderson Williams White was born on April 4, 1942, to the parentage of the late Chester Anderson and Elise McNeal Anderson in, Detroit, Michigan.

 Dorothy attended the public schools in Michigan.  As a homemaker, she loved to have fun, dance, sing and cook. Dorothy Spent most of her adulthood living in Atlanta, Ga around the Red Oak area. She relocated many years later to Milledgeville, GA in the early Two Thousand.

 Dorothy is preceded in death by her late husband Johnnie L. Williams Sr., son, Elliot Williams, and longtime companion Robert Lynn White Sr.

 Dorothy’s favorite quote was, “I love God, I love my kids and I love my grandkids.”  Yearning for the moment she could embrace all of her children and grandchildren, a blessing unfolded. During her 81st birthday celebration, she was gifted the presence of all her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren Savoring time with each and every one of them was one of her life’s treasured moments.

Dorothy leaves behind a legacy of love and memories with her children: son, Johnnie Williams Jr. Of Milledgeville, GA, daughters, Leslie Y Johnson (Scott), Cynthia W. Veal, of Gordon, GA and Dorothy Graham of Riverdale, GA, who are a testament to her union with the late Johnnie L. Williams Sr.

Dorothy legacy also lives on in the hearts of her children: very special and devoted daughter Ruby Lynn Williams of Gordon, GA and son Robert Lynn White Jr. of Milledgeville, GA from her union with the late Robert Lynn White Sr.

Her memories will continue to inspire and uplift loved ones including 21 grandchildren, 47 great-grand kids, and 11 great-great grandchildren. Sister-in law Rubye P Johnson, Gussie P Adams and Mary Ann H. Pearson, all of Milledgeville GA, Mildred W. Garfield (Danny) and Genette Pearson, all of Detroit MI and one brother-in-law, Willie T. Austin, Irwinton, GA.

Dorothy also leaves a devoted longtime companion Willie Joe Harper.
