It is with sympathy, the management and staff of Slater’s Funeral Home, Inc. announce the passing of Ms. Dorothy R. Roberson, of  Frost Proof, Florida. Mrs. Roberson passed away on Thursday, March 31, 2022.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, April 9, 2022 at 3:00PM from the Una Memorial Garden Cemetery, Milledgeville, Georgia.

Dorothy Reen Roberson, was born January 22, 1949 in Milledgeville, GA to the late, Elijah and Annie Roberson, Sr. Dorothy was lovingly known as “Dot” to all of her family and friends in the community where she grew up.

Dot was full of life and always had a smile on her face. She was a kind woman. Although she grew up in Georgia, she moved away and made Florida her home. She remained in Florida until her passing.

She was preceded in death by her parents Elijah and Annie Roberson Sr.; her brother Willie Mitt Roberson; two sisters, Joann Roberson and Brenda Roberson.

She leaves to cherish her memory; one daughter, Janice Cummings of Milledgeville, GA; two sons, Norris Roberson of Kansas City, Missouri and Phillip Earl Sutton of Frost Proof, Florida; three sisters, Linda (Jesse) Warren, Maria Dixon, and Shirley Lundy, all of Milledgeville, Georgia; three brothers, Elijah Roberson Jr., Eliza (Lachelle) Roberson, and David Levi Roberson, all of Milledgeville, Georgia; three dear friends, Georgia Perry, Pauline Roboy and Josefine Gaines, all of Frost Proof Florida, she also leaves numerous grandchildren, family and friends. A very special person in her life, Phillip Sutton, Sr.

Our mother will be missed. We love our mother but God loved her best. Until we meet again.
