Dorothy Gail Cummings-Griffin was born February 8, 1964, in Milledgeville, GA to the late Ruby Mae Butts-Cummings and the late Carl Henry Cummings, Sr. One sister preceded her in death; she was the middle of them all.
Dorothy worked at Central State Hospital for ten years as a housekeeper. She loved the Lord and was saved. She lived a righteous life, she was a great friend, she was very humble, she was a great cook, a good mother and sister. Dorothy was a member of the House of Prayer.
Dorothy was married twice and remained friends with Johnny Lee Palm and James Griffin.
Dorothy transitioned from mortality to immortality on October 16, 2024.
She leaves to cherish her memories: daughters, Kanisha Armstrong-Ingram (Gabriel Ingram), Sherita Cummings; son, Lerico Palm; four siblings, Carl Henry Cummings, Jr. (Sheila Cummings), Patricia Cummings-Harper, Charles Edward Cummings, Milton Terrance Cummings, and Terald Carl Jackson; one granddaughter, Nevaeh Gabrille Ingram; a Godmother, Mary “Sweet” Ward; God sister, Cynthia Ward-Edwards; a host of nieces and nephews.
