Dorothy Glenn Obituary

Ms. Dorothy Lee Glenn has entered into eternal rest on Saturday, September 18, 2021 at Atrium Health Navicent in Milledgeville, Georgia.

Graveside services were held on Saturday, September 25, 2021 at 2:00 PM from the Gum Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, Milledgeville, Georgia.

Dorothy Lee Glen known as “Gal” was born to the late Sterling Hall, Sr., and the late Willie Mae Baker Hall Durden on December 24, 1946.

Dorothy was reared and educated in Baldwin County. She loved cooking and talking to her loving family, especially her sisters. She worked at Central State Hospital for 25 years and cared for many of her elderly family members. She later took a job as a caregiver, sitting with the elderly within thier home, where she was adored by the family.
 

She was a devoted member of Gum Hill Baptist Church, from childhood to her death.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Mr. Henry Scott; grandson, Mr. Damario Jermell May; brothers, Larry Hall, Randy Hall, Willie Hall, Sr., and Sterling Hall, Jr.; brothers-in[1]law, Joseph Hall, Clinton Neal, Rufus Barnes, and Greg Turner.

Dorothy was married to Jimmie Lee Glenn for 16 years and they had four loving children. She later met and married the late Henry Scott.

She leaves to cherish her memory four children, Ronnie (LaTonya) Glenn, Bridgette (Dewaye) Hall, Shelton (Tamica) Glenn, and LaShonda Glenn; nine grandchildren, Shanell Glenn, RaSean (Jackie) Glenn, Breanna Glenn, Charisma Glenn, Patrick Culver, SanToya Glenn, Joshua Steele, Leroy Mclin, and Breanna Glenn; seven great grandchildren, Natalie Ariello, Baleigh Blossom Ford, Aiden Glenn, Princeton Griffin, Alayah Glenn, Amelia Tingue, and Alayna Culver; stepmother, Barbara Hall; ten sisters: Annie Hall, Jonnie Glenn Neal, Berean (Glenn) Gilbert, Pasty Hayes, Erma (Melvin) Barnes, Evelyn (Melvin) Hogan, Ruby Barnes, Debra Turner, Sarah (Leon) Samuels, and Loletta Hall; three brothers, Joseph Hall, Leroy (Elaine) Hall, and Roscoe Hall; devoted sisters-in-law, Erma Hall, Mary Hall, and Christine Hall; a host of nieces and nephews.
