Diane Willis McKearney was born April 16, 1959, to the late Mildred Henderson and David Lee Willis. Diane was the sixth of eight children, predeceased by her brothers: George Henderson Jr., and Charles Henderson, Sr., and sister Betty Liggins and Elaine Henderson.

On April 1, 2024, Diane answered the Lord’s final clarion call and transitioned peacefully in the comfort of her home with her loving family by her bedside. Now we celebrate knowing that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.

Diane was educated in the Baldwin County Schools. She decided to give her life to Christ and joined the Smith Chapel United Methodist Church in Ivey, Georgia at an early age.

Diane entered the workforce and took a liking to construction but later began her career at Central State Hospital until her retirement.

Diane had a very special way that she made a memorable mark in the lives of so many in an unforgettable way. She was a very loving and devoted Wife, Mother, Mother-in-Law, and Grandmother. Her dedication to her family was unmatched.

Not to be idle after retirement, she had a love and passion for planting flowers and indeed had a “green thumb”. She also found great pleasure in spending time with her family and traveling.

Diane is survived by her husband, Michael McKearney; daughter; Jacinta Johnson (Tremaine); sons Chavis Willis, John Willis(Ashley); stepsons: Chris, Ned(Sara), and Josh McKearney; grandchildren, Seanteria, Kaurma, Makayla, Cha’Niyha, Cha’Riyha, Tremaine Jr., Evan, Cambrin, Julie Ann, and Nicolas; brother; Harold Henderson(Evelyn), and John Henderson Sr., sister Alfreda Butts; sister-in-law, PJ Hamel; a devoted nephew, John Walker Jr.; a devoted friend, Ms. Angela Collins; a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives that loved her dearly.

Funeral services were held on Friday, April 5, 2024, at 11:00AM from the Chapel of All Faiths, Milledgeville, Georgia. Interment followed from the Scenic Memorial Gardens, Milledgeville, Georgia.
