It is with sympathy, the management and staff of Slater's Funeral Home, Inc. announce the passing of Mr. Deonte Winkfield, Milledgeville, Georgia. Mr. Winkfield passed away on Monday, January 16, 2023, at the local hospital.

Funeral services were held on Thursday, January 26, 2023, at 1:00 PM from the Griffin Memorial Chapel, Milledgeville, Georgia. Interment to follow from the St. Paul Baptist Church, Milledgeville, Georgia. 

Deonte LaDon Winfield was born January 25, 1988, to the parentage of the late Mrs. Lisa Winkfield Webb and Mr. Calvin Green, he was reared by Mr. Otis Webb Sr.

He was preceded in death by his mother Mrs. Lisa Webb. He attended public schools in Baldwin County. Deonte affectionately known as Deon, was full of life. Deon enjoyed having fun with family and friends. He also enjoyed spending time with his children.

Deon was not a stranger to anyone he came in contact with and always had a bright smile on his face whenever you saw him. His smile could light up a room.

He leaves to cherish his memories; His father, Mr. Otis Webb Sr. (Wanda) and Mr. Calvin Green (Ronda), all of Milledgeville, Ga. Four daughters; Camille Winkfield, A’shantis Winkfield, Spirit Brown and DeAsia Winkfield all of Milledgeville, Ga, three brothers; Otis Webb Jr. Montillious Green, Brandon Green, one sister Keyontaye Hurt all of Milledgeville, Ga. A devoted friend, Ms. Monica Ingram of Milledgeville, Ga and a host of loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews cousins and friends.
