Dempsey Traydene Anderson, a radiant soul known for her infectious laughter, joyful spirit, and deep love for God and others, passed away peacefully on June 1, 2025, surrounded by the family. Born in Macon, Georgia, on May 16, 1964, Traydene made Milledgeville her home for most of her life, where her vibrant personality and generous heart touched countless lives.
Traydene proudly served as an Evangelist at His Mercy Ministries, where she shared her testimony, her wisdom, and most of all, her joy in the Lord. Her faith was fierce, her worship was heartfelt, and her love for God's people showed in everything she did. Whether it was praying for a friend, encouraging a stranger, or lifting her voice in praise, she did it with a heart full of fire and compassion.
She had a laugh that could lift any spirit and a dance that could light up any room. You could find her spreading joy in the most unexpected places — at the doctor's office, the Saturday BBQ, or just driving through town — always dancing, always smiling, and always putting on a show. She was the most “not serious” serious person you could ever meet — always quick with a joke, a hug, or a word of encouragement.
She was also a master in the kitchen, with her collard greens known far and wide as a family treasure. Her love for cooking was just another way she showed love — bringing people together, feeding both stomachs and souls.
Traydene is survived by her devoted husband, Juwan Harris of Milledgeville, GA; her beloved children, Michael J. Anderson Jr. (Fallan) of Las Vegas, NV; Joshua S. Anderson (Jalissa) of Milledgeville, GA; Shandrill Marie Swint (Chris) of Macon, GA; Kendrick L. Anderson (Zee) of Macon, GA; and Glacia A. Anderson (Otis) of Milledgeville, GA. She also leaves behind her cherished sisters, Mary Mundie (Johnnie) of Milledgeville, GA, Irma Grimes of Gordon, GA; 18 grandchildren who were the pride and joy of her life. aunts: Sherita Everett of Macon, GA, Laura Sanford Thomas of Macon, GA; uncles: Carl Thomas of Columbus, OH, Felix Thomas (Linda) of Macon, GA, Tony Thomas (Wendolyn) Decatur, GA, Theordore Myrick, Honorary Sister, Falisha Lewis.
She was preceded in death by parents, Emily Myrick, Ben Myrick, Robert Hart II, the late First Husband, Michael J. Anderson, Sr.; brother, Robert Hart III; sister, Scottie Gilmore; uncles, Luther Thomas, Markeith Thomas; aunts, Amy Felton.
