Mrs. Debra Hurt, of Milledgeville, Georgia passed away on Wednesday, June 3, 2020 at McDuffie Hospital, Thomson, Georgia.
Graveside services were held on Tuesday, June 9, 2020 at 1:00 PM from the Una Memorial Park Cemetery, Milledgeville, Georgia.
Debra Louise Tyler Hurt was born August 4, 1956 to the late Clarence Tyler II and Lillie Ruth Tyler.
She attended public school in Baldwin County. She continued and graduated with the class of 1975-1976. She then met her husband Albert Hurt, Sr. of 33 years. She spent her life working in food service until she retired from Central State Hospital in 2008.
Debbie, as she was affectionately known to her husband loved everyone. She spent many years caring for kids and always called them her children too. If you told her a secret she never revealed it to a soul. She loved people and treated everyone like family. She was raised in the Zion Church of God In Christ. In June 2011 she rededicated her life by getting baptized at Green Pasture Baptist Church under Pastor James Harris, Jr. She enjoyed singing. She sung in Green Pasture Baptist Church Senior Choir until she became ill.
After a long term illness, she departed this side of heaven to join God and her family on June 3, 2020.
She is preceded in death by husband, Albert Hurt, Sr.; parents, Clarence Tyler II and Lillie Ruth Tyler; grandson, Desmond Howard; brothers, Barney Tyler, Clarence Tyler III, and Lorenzo Dennis; sister, Anito Tyler.
She leaves her love and heart with her children, Shicole Cummings, Shayyawn Hurt, NiQuita Hurt, Albert Hurt, Jr.; her grandladies, Shabrelle Howard, NiAsiaa May, O’shanti Ray and JaKyla Knight, all of Milledgeville, GA; brother, Carl (Sherry) Tyler of Covington, GA; sisters-in-law, Dissie P. Larkins, Louise Johnson of Milledgeville, GA, Juanita Williams of Haddock, GA, Althier (J.W.) Eady, Doris Wilborn of Lithonia, GA, Laurie (David) Foster of Atlanta, GA, Mary (Richard) Hughes of Macon, GA; brothersin-law, Robert (Hattie) Hurt, Sylvester (Tacye) Hurt of Milledgeville, GA; one devoted cousin, Melvin (Fransis) Reaves of Savannah, GA; one devoted niece,Felicia Sanford of Milledgeville, GA; devoted friends, Marenier Cannon, Bernestein (Lester) Gibson, Beverly (Billy) Ford, Angela Solomon, Nanette Msley, all of Milledgeville, GA, Harriett Jackson of Gordon, GA; a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends also survive her. Momma you loved us through all the sunny days and cloudy days. You taught us how to fly and now we must fly without you. We love you from earth to heaven. You’re always in our hearts.
