Debora Jean Baker Obituary

Debora Baker was born in El Dorado, Arkansas on October 23,1956, to Loyd Nanny and Flora Cummings. "Momma D, and Gigi" as she was lovingly known by her family and friends. She graduated from Lincon Nebraska and studied Mechanical Drafting where she later became a security officer, and a floor tech. Ms. Debbie gave her life to the Lord and was baptized at an early age where she attended several church homes doing the Lord's work. Ms. Debbie loved spending time with her family, especially her children, grand and great-grandchildren. Her passion was loving on and taking care of her babies.

Ms. Debbie was preceded in death by her parents, Flora Cummings and Loyd Nanny, one brother, Carl Nanny, two sisters, Doris Jean, and Jane, and a sister who was more like a mother, Geneva Garcia and one son in love Leroy Foston, Jr.

Ms. Debbie leaves behind two brothers, James Nanny, Texas and Loyd Nanny Jr., Tennesse, two sons, Jason Vassar, Jennifer Vassar, and Keandral Baker (known as my Mo Monkey) all of Milledgeville, GA. Two granddaughters she raised as her own Ty'Keria Vasser and Ty'Asia Vassar. A host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren, uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins, family and friends. Three close friends, her Goddaughter Michelle Wilson Baily, Larry Bancik and Sadie Richardson. Two sisters in Christ, Minister Evelyn Foston and Prophetess Valerie Murry. Two daughters in Christ, Sonita Hood, and Lameeka Miller. A special thank you to the Georgia Hospice Center.

Funeral services were held on Thursday May 16, 2024, at 1:00PM from the Griffin Memorial Chapel at Slater's Funeral Home, Milledgeville, Georgia.  She is survived by her loving family and friends.
