Deacon Michael Poole

The Beginning of the life of our Humble Servant
Deacon Micheal Poole was born on March 9, 1949 to the parentage of the late Jimmy Lee Poole and Bertha Mae Hall Poole. His rearing took place in the Deepstep area. Micheal was preceded in death by a sister, Zenora Odum and a cousin/father figure, Deacon Henry Veal, Senior. Deacon Poole matriculated through the Washington County School System, graduating from T.J. Elder High School Class of 1968.

Spiritual and Work Background of Our Humble Servant
Deacon Poole was a faithful member of the Mt. Sinai Baptist Church, Deepstep Community, where he received his ordinance as a deacon. He served as the church clerk for over three decades (30 Years).

Micheal was employed by the Central State Hospital in the bakery area of Central Kitchen. His employment began in 1971 and he retired in 2001. Our servant was awarded four years of banked time due to his outstanding attendance. Therefore he was credited with 34 years of employment at CSH.

The Love Life of Our Humble Servant
Deacon Poole was united in Holy matrimony on August 30, 1980 to Alma Dessau Poole. The marriage continued successfully until her demise in 2019, thirty-nine years of love through God’s grace.

The Family of Our Humble Servant
Fond and precious memories of our humble servant will be held in the hearts of: his devoted daughter, Veronica Denise Adams and grandson, Brayden Joshua Adams of Conyers, GA; one brother, James Milton Scott (Jean) of Milledgeville, GA; a devoted cousin (like a mother), Emma Jean Veal of Deepstep, GA; two adopted sons, Rev. Henry Veal, Jr. (Ericka) of Sandersville, GA, Rashod Veal of Sandersville, GA; God daughter, Lora Imani Brown of Sparta, GA; faithful sister-in-law, Missionary Delois Beckom of Sparta, GA; one brother-in-law, Elder Sammy (Lizzie) Dessau of Milledgeville, GA; devoted cousins, Amanda Cooper of Milledgeville, GA; devoted friends, Ronald Donley, Norris Liggins, and Richard Dixon of Milledgeville, GA, Magnolia Tucker of Sandersville, GA; nieces, nephews, and a host of close cousins survive him.

The Departure of Our Humble Servant
On May 15, 2026, our humble servant entered into eternal rest.
