Mrs. Daisy Wright, 1401 S. Elbert Street Milledgeville, Georgia passed away on Saturday, September 22, 2018 at Green Acres Nursing and Rehabilitation, Milledgeville, Georgia.
Funeral services were held on Monday, October 1st, 2018 at 11:00 AM from the Bible Revival Church, 101 Deerwood Drive SW, Milledgeville, Georgia. Interment was held in Scenic Memorial Gardens, Milledgeville, Georgia.
God in His infinite wisdom and divine mercy has called our Beloved Daisy Ware Wright from labor to reward. None of us were prepared to say goodbye to Mother Wright on September 22, 2018, She freely and unconditionally touched the lives of many.
Today, we pause to celebrate the life of Mother Wright, who was born on August 29, 1923 in Baldwin County to the parentage of Hansel and Nancy Ware. She had two sisters and one brother who preceded her in death.
She received her education in the public schools of Baldwin County, graduating from Eddie High School. At one point in her life, she earned a certificate to teach public school. She retired from Central State Hospital after working thirty-four years. Her hobbies were sowing, cooking, gardening (flowers). She loved going to yard sales, traveling, but her greatest love was fishing.
She was a faithful member of The Bible Revival Church, where she served as President of the Usher Board, Church Secretary, and member of the Mother Board.
She was joined in Holy Matrimony in 1943 to Mr. Woodrow Wright, Sr.
She was the mother three daughters: Barbara Wright Mason and Rosalyn Wright Smith (who preceded her in death) and Brenda Wright Hampton (Cleveland, Ohio); two sons: Mr. Woodrow Wright, Jr., (Winda), Denver, Colorado, Mr. Allen M. Wright, Milledgeville, GA; one grandson, Eugene Mason, Jr. (Zena); three grandaughters: Vonda Wright Dickerson, Sharon Hampton Luke, Tayla Wright Coachman; eleven great grandchildren; six great great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, Pamela Griffin Speights; a God daughter, a host of other relatives and friends.
