It is with sympathy, the management and staff of Slater's Funeral Home, Inc. announce the passing of Ms. Cynthia Elaine Miller, Milledgeville, Georgia. Ms. Miller passed away on Tuesday, May 23, 2023.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, May 31, 2023 at 11:00 AM from the Northridge Christian Church, Milledgeville, Georgia. Interment will follow from the Baldwin Memorial Park, Milledgeville, Georgia. She is survived by her loving family and friends.

Miss Cynthia Elaine Miller, affectionately known as “Cynt” by her family was born on November 6, 1962 to the parentage of the late Dorothy Gray Miller and Norris Miller, Sr. in Milledgeville, Ga. She departed this life on May 23rd at Regency Hospital, Macon, Georgia after an extended illness.
She graduated from Baldwin High School in 1980 and later attended Georgia College & State University where she obtained a Bachelors in Business Administration.
Cynthia was a devout Christian who loved the Lord wholeheartedly. She enjoyed serving the Lord in any capacity that was needed. At various times, she served as a Sunday school teacher, Choir member, Usher, Event Coordinator, Praise Dancer and Prayer Warrior. She was a member of New Life Fellowship church but later in life she found a home at Northridge Christian Church where she served as a Children's Elementary Small Group Leader.
As a humble servant of God, Cynthia lived by “The Golden Rule”, “Treat others the way you would want to be treated” and treated everyone she met with kindness and love. She also enjoyed celebrating people and would always remember everyone's birthday with a little token to show that she cared. During Christmas, she would take special care to hand pick everyone's gifts based on what she knew they liked. On Christmas Eve, she would load up her car with gifts, wear a Santa's hat and distribute her gifts to her nieces, nephews, sister, brother, cousins and friends. She received pleasure from being able to give to others and see the expression on their face when they opened their gifts.
Cynthia also took great pleasure in sending out Monday morning blessings to all of her friends, cousins, family members and acquaintances. It was just her way of showing that she loved and appreciated everyone in her life.
Cynthia's lifelong career was in banking in which she served in many capacities. She began as a bank teller and later was promoted to a Head Teller and Back Up Customer Service Representative at Century Bank & Trust in Milledgeville, Ga.
She continued her wonderful career at Robins Federal Credit Union in Milledgeville and Gray, Georgia where she held the positions of a Member Service Representative and a Senior Member Service Representative.
Lastly, she became an Assistant Branch Manager at MidSouth Community Federal Credit Union in Macon, Ga. She remained in this position until her health began to decline. She received several awards for her hard work and dedication which include being named: The Outstanding Employee Award for four years as well as the GEM Award. Cynthia was also very active in her community and served as an Ambassador of the Chamber of Commerce, Chamber of Commerce Director and she participated in the Adopt a School Program. Still eager to contribute to her community, Cynthia worked part-time at Central Georgia Technical College as well as at Davis Income Tax Accounting.
Her beloved parents, Dorothy Gray Miller and Norris Miller, Sr. as well as one beloved brother, Derrick Miller preceded her in death. She leaves to mourn her passing and cherish her memory: brothers and sisters include, Mr. Norris Miller, JR. , Mr. William Miller ,Mrs. Debra Miller Dawson (Adrian) and Miss Michelle Copeland of Milledgeville, Ga., One God sister, Mrs. Denise Ellis Strobridge (Marcell) of Swainsboro, Ga.; aunts: Mrs. Victoria Testamariam and Miss Rosa Jeanette Hall, both of Springfield VA; uncle, Mr. Kirby Hall of Milledgeville, Georgia; nieces and nephews include: Mr. Norris Miller III (Adrian), Mr. Danny Sallad, Ms. Lakeshia Miller, Ms. Erica Miller, Mrs. Britany Wright (Creighton), Mr. Rodney Smith Jr., Ms. Shabrina Miller, Ms. Hannah Dawson; Ms. Jalissa Dawson, Mr. Riekel (Jasmine), Mr. Adrian Dawson Jr.; great nieces & nephews, cousins and many devoted friends.
