Curtis Smith

It is with sympathy, the management and staff of Slater's Funeral Home, Inc. announce the passing of Mr. Curtis Smith, Milledgeville, Georgia. Mr. Smith passed away on Saturday, July 8, 2023.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, July 15, 2023 at 11:00 AM from the Jordan Stream Baptist Church, Toomsboro, Georgia. Interment to follow.

Curtis Smith was born the second child of four on June 16, 1962 in Brunswick, Georgia to the parentage of Mr. Theron McIntosh and Mrs. Mary Lee Smith.

He was a member of Jordan String Baptist Church. Curtis enjoyed catering, cooking, decorating, and most of all, he loved being with family and friends.

The sun set for our beloved Curtis Smith on Saturday, July 8th, 2023, where he returned to his Heavenly Father.

He was proceeded in death by his father, Theron McIntosh; grandparents, Eugene and Dora Smith of Toomsboro, GA, Albert Baker and Willie Ruth Powell of Brunswick, GA.

He leaves to cherish his memory, a loving mother, Mrs. Mary Lee Smith, of Toomsboro, GA; one sister, Betty (Earl) Merrell, of Tennille, GA; two brothers: Sammie (Kim) Smith, of Orlando, FL, Tellys Smith, of Atlanta, GA; one uncle, Earnest (Shirley) Smith, of Gordon, GA; one aunt, Katie Bostic, of Tennille, GA; five nieces, Shirlena (Antonio) Jones, Danielle (Ricardo) Brown, both of Tennille, GA, Taneisha Smith, Takorra Smith, both of Dublin, GA, Aeisha Ford, of Milledgeville, GA; three nephews: Ricardo (Ranada) Merrell, of Tennille, GA, Branno (Rayshondal) Merrell, of Sandersville, GA, Eddie (Shadonnae) Lattimore, of Savannah, GA; three great nieces: Nytiana Merrell, of Tennille, GA, Madyson Merrell, Chloe Merrell, both of Sandersville, GA; six great nephews: Donte Tharpes, Carsten Merrell, Dayeton Brown, all of Tennille, GA, Bryston Jones, of Atlanta, GA, Martavious "Tay" (Hyceanna) Adams, of Milledgeville, GA, Kyngston McGirt, of Dublin, GA; four great great nephews: Jayden Tharpes, Chansten Tharpes, both of Sandersville, GA, Kingston and Colton Adams, of Milledgeville, GA; sis devoted cousins: Tiffany Hill, Diana Hunter, Earl Smith, Gloria Smith, all of Toomsboro, GA, Heidi Denson, of Atlanta, GA, Sharon Coverson, of Dublin, GA; a host of other relatives and friends.
