It is with sympathy, the management and staff of Slater’s Funeral Home, Inc. announce the passing of Mr. Christopher Myron Jones, of Milledgeville, Georgia. Mr. Jones passed away on Sunday, March 6, 2022.
Graveside services were held on Saturday, March 12, 2022 at 11:00 AM from the Scenic Memorial Gardens, Milledgeville, Georgia.
Christopher Myron Jones, affectionately known as "Duke" was born September 20, 1977, to Lillie Mae Jones and Johnny Jones in Honolulu, Hawaii. Christopher spent his early years growing up in Honolulu, Hawaii also while travelling amongst the states due to his parents military background. Christopher later completed his schooling in Baldwin County, Acquired his GED, and obtained several different Automotive Maintenance and Painting Certifications at Central Georgia Technical College of Milledgeville, GA. After graduating, Christopher took a different route and attended Macon State University to complete his Bachelor's of Science in Health Science . Upon completion, he began to work towards his Master's degree, but he went back to the true love of his life: cars, trucks, and motorcycles. Christopher had a talent for working on and painting cars, He usually spent hours at a time on each project. He was also well known in several communities for his area of expertise. Christopher was an exceptional, loving, and a very family oriented young man. He would give you the skin off his back if needed to. He had love for his children, nieces and nephews with every fiber in him. He raised them all as his own. On March 6th, 2022, Christopher entered eternal peace, joining his son, CuaTez Ma'Had Jones and leaving a legacy of lasting memories his family will forever cherish. Survivors include his children: two daughters: Cha'Tori M. Jones, of Milledgeville, GA, Saige Jones, of Dublin, GA; three sons: Caliq M. Jones, Shermarcus Todd Jones, Ce'Juan Jones, all of Milledgeville, GA; his parents, Lillie Mae Jones, of Milledgeville, GA, and Johnny A. Jones, of Columbus, GA; his siblings: Gregory Dawson (Sharon), and Reginald Dawson, both of Milledgeville, GA, Brenda Dawson Finney (David), of Macon, GA, Erik Ealy, of Memphis, TN, Cherwanda Jones, of Columbus, GA, and Chellsi Jones, of Opelika, Florida; special devoted nieces: Rasheda Green (Al), Faith Steele, and Hope Green; special devoted nephew, Shay'Chez Christopher Dawson; The "Country" Boys: Chad Goddard, Darrell Brisco, Derrick Phillips, Reginald Middlebrooks, and Marcus Middlebrooks; along with a host of nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.
