It is with sympathy, the management and staff of Slater's Funeral Home, Inc. announce the passing of Mrs. Christine Ross, Milledgeville, Georgia. Mrs. Ross passed away on Sunday, June 25, 2023.

Funeral Services were held on Saturday, July 1, 2023, at 2:00 PM from the Pine Ridge Baptist Church, Milledgeville, Georgia. Interment to follow from the Ellis Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery, Haddock, Ga. 

On Sunday, June 25, 2023, Christine Ross completed her work on this side and joyfully accepted her call to go home to be with the Lord.

The life of Christine W. Ross began in Jones County, Georgia March 28, 1936.  Her proud parents were the late Isreal Williams and Fannie Williams.  

She was married to the late Harry Ross, Sr. Their union was blessed with seven children. Christine was a member of Pine Ridge Baptist Church.

Christine was a person who believe in providing for her family. She was gainfully employed for several years with Cherokee Products, she also worked in the Food Service Department at Baldwin County Hospital. She ultimately retired from the Baldwin County School System.

Her hobbies included cooking, planting flowers, and talking on the phone. She loved spending time with family and friends.

Christine was preceded in death by all six of her siblings; four of her children, Larry Ross, Harry Ross, Sr., Bessie Farlar, and Rosa Ross.

She leaves cherish her memories: three daughters, Gloria Middlebrooks (Paul Zachery), Fannie Mae Ross, Katina Ross; daughter-in-law, Florine Ross; three sisters-in-law, Marie Ross, Annie Balkcom, Marion Williams; brother-in-law, Clayton Ross; devoted friends, Ruby Kirklin, Gloria Wright, Grace Barber, Crystal Hall, Lottis Harris; special granddaughter, Andrea Jackson; a host of grandchildren; great grandchildren; family and friends.
