Charlene Harden Obituary

Fear not I am with you; be not dismayed, For I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

A woman of remarkable strength and dignity most known for her infectious smile and Charismatic Personality.

Charlene Harden is known as “tanga tanga” to her father. She was born August 25, 1971, to the parentage of Bessie L. King and the late Raymond Harden. She is preceded in death by her Stepfather Charlie T. Malone, grandparents David King, Mamie King, Ola Mae Harden and her sister Audrey Veal.

As a child she enjoyed watching cartoons (Woody the Woodpecker) with her father, going to the candy lady house with her sisters and spending time with her family in Deep Step.

Charlene was a graduate of Baldwin High School Class of 1990. Throughout the years she maintained friendships with her classmates. In October of 1997 she gave birth to her one and only beautiful daughter Charletta Gilmore. Charlene was a devoted mother who adored her daughter. She was a devoted Sister. She was known as their “Baby girl”. She was also a devoted Aunt known for teaching her nieces and nephew how to be confident and be a cohesive unit when faced with advertisements of the world.

Over the years, she worked for several businesses in the community, serving as a cook. Her most recent career was at Baldwin State Prison as a food service supervisor, she spent her free time with her daughter and her family. vacation is she enjoyed taking videos of her family creating memories she loves cooking baking and traveling and going to casinos.

On Thursday, January 18th, 2024, Charlene answered the call of her Heavenly Father, gained her wings, entered into eternal life, remaining to cherish her memory and legacy is her Mother Bessie L. Malone daughter Charletta S. Gilmore Sisters, Mattie Harden James (Milton James), Barbara A. Walker, Her brother Darcey Malone, Aunts  Priscilla harden, Claudia Moore, Sallie Bridges, Christine Hall, Diane King. Her Uncles Charles Harden, Willie King. Nieces K'misha Havior, Tiffany Glenn, Sherita Glenn, Shekita Moss (Rod), Rayshonda Renfroe, Her Nephew Demontae Walker, Devoted Best friend Beverley Smith-Ford and Host of family and friends.
