Mrs. Carrine Robinson, of Milledgeville, Georgia passed away on Friday, April 24, 2020 at her residence.
Graveside services were held privately with family at Scenic Memorial Gardens, Milledgeville, Georgia.
Carrine Robinson entered into this Life’s Rest on Friday April 24, 2020. Carrie was born on May 12, 1933 to the parentage of Elenor May and Jessie B. May.
At an early age her faith brought her to the calling and joining of Cooper’s Hill Baptist Church where she was a faithful member for her entire life. She attended public school in Steven’s Pottery and Eddie High School.
Carrie united in Holy Matrimony with John W. Robinson. Their union was blessed with three children and two step children, Royal L. Hogan and Willie M. Johnson.
Carrine worked her early years doing private home care. Then later she worked at Central State Hospital for 34 years where she retired in 2006.
Although her job caused her to miss some church services, after retirement she rededicated herself and joined the Mother’s Board where she served faithfully until her health begin to decline.
Carrine enjoyed going to church and gospel concerts. She also enjoyed working in her yard attending her flowers.
Her favorite flowers were roses and the color pink. She also liked being outside, cooking and fishing. She loved to dress and wear her hats to match her outfits.
Carrine was also known for the beautiful smile she bestowed upon you when she met you.
She is preceded in death by her husband John W. Robinson; daughter, Willie M. Johnson; son, Royal L. Hogan.
She leaves to cherish her memories: daughters, Gail Griffin and Vanessa R. Davis, both of Tacoma, WA; son, John M. Robinson (Geneva) of Milledgeville, GA; one sister, Doris Henderson of Newark, New Jersey; one brother, Lennis May (Judy) of Milledgeville, GA; one sister-in-law, Johnnie May; four brothersin-law, T.S. Webster, Sr., Robert Williams, Carlton Williams, Pelman Williams, all of Milledgeville, GA. She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Caring and devoted friends are Julia B. Harty and Mary L. Jackson.
