Graveside services were held on Saturday, May 7, 2022, at 2:00 PM from the Greater Jordan Chapel AME Church Cemetery, Haddock, Georgia.
Mrs. Betty W. Grant was born to the parentage of the late Mr. Clarence Williams, Sr. and Mrs. Eva Gray Williams. Mrs. Betty W. Grant attended the community public schools of Haddock, Georgia. After graduating, she attended Fort Valley State University. Later in life,
she became a member of Jordan Chapel, AME church in Haddock, GA.
Mrs. Betty W. Grant had an office job in Gray for a few years, then she went to work at Cherokee as a canner. She was a "Jack of all Trades". It wasn't nothing that she wouldn't try. She was an outdoor person who loved flowers, fishing, carpentry and she became a learning brick mason. Whatever she set out to do, she did just that. She was a devoted mother and grandmother.
Our beloved mother entered her restful sleep on Thursday, April 28, 2022. She has three siblings who precedes her in death: one sister, Ms. Anna Williams and two brothers, Mr. Clarence Williams, Jr. and Mr. Thomas F. Williams, Sr.
Her loving memories will be cherished by her loving family; she leaves behind her beloved, Mr. Issac Hogan of Haddock, GA; two daughters, Teresa D. Pennimon of Gray, GA. Stephanie P. Davis of Milledgeville, GA; one son and daughter in law, Kenneth B. (Tamiko H.) Williams of Irwinton, GA; twelve grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews cousins, and friends also survive her.
